Guilloche

With origins believed to have originated in Germany in the early 19th. century. A manual technique of a burning out on fabric, referred to as pyrotechnics. The technique then migrated to Russia and many skilled workers have practiced and refined the art of burning out patterns in fabric. Guilloche is an engraving of fabric that produces a stunning effect similar to lace Richelieu but is achieved by the removal of fabric to produce an ornate and very special lattice work.

Applications for the use of Guilloche are very diverse - Table mats, Napkins, Table Cloths, Doilies, Runners, Decorative panels, Wedding Rings Cushions, collars, scarves, bookmarks, cards, notebooks or any decorative table fabric dressing, different kinds of nice appliqués, initials on napkins.

Also different sizes of beautiful table linen for dollhouses.

About Me

I was born in Odessa in the Southern Ukraine, I graduated from College of Art there as graphic artist. Now I live and work in England, Hampshire. I mastered the technique in Odessa as a local craftwork. I started by making napkins, tablecloths and doilies as gifts for friends and family members. The response was superb and I was encouraged to expand my horizons. I offer a wide range of designs both, standard or bespoke. Everything is made individually to the highest standard. This site helps to keep my products alive, fresh and unique, and will give me time to develop new skills and products.
